December | Say what?

December_2014

I’m not going to lie: November was a mess pretty much from start to finish. I was running around like a crazy person, yet I feel that I accomplished hardly anything. I also binged on far too much of anything and everything I could get my hands on, probably because of my stressful schedule and a hefty dose of self-pity by the end of the month. I guess November wasn’t my best month this year, and it certainly wasn’t what I hoped November would be. C’est la vie.

I’m entering into December with the thought of “just one more month” in my head, which probably isn’t the best way to start the month, but it’s my motivation right now. I’m looking forward to counting down to Christmas with my David’s Tea Advent Calendar, like last year, and of course, festive desserts and yummy gingerbread people throughout the month. I’m happy it’s December because December means lots and lots of baking, and that will definitely make up for my crappy November, or at least help me bake through the bleh feelings that November left behind. I wasn’t lying when I said “kitchen heals soul”.

This free, downloadable desktop calendar I created for you is actually a photo from a cookie recipe that I’ll be publishing later this month, so stay tuned! These are also the cookies I featured in this little video I made (youtube). And, dear December, I’m really glad you are finally here.
