What’s going on in May?
In May, I’m going to be quite busy, and I have two major events going on that I would love to share with you.
Table of Hope 2017
I’m excited to announce that I am an ambassador for Table of Hope 2017, happening on Monday, May 29th, 2017. Table of Hope is an annual charity event that raises awareness about childhood hunger because no child should ever be hungry, especially when they are in school. Nothing works when you are hungry, and you certainly can’t learn under those conditions. Proceeds from ticket sales go to the Share The Warmth School Food Program, which feeds 1,700 children daily, across 20 schools in Montreal, throughout the school year. Table of Hope is a fun event for foodies with lots of local restaurants and producers participating, like Bird Bar, Tuck Shop, Prohibition, Rib’n Reef, Ichigo Ichie, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, McAuslan Brewery, and many, many more. You basically get to walk around and try food and drinks from lots of awesome Montreal restaurants all in one place. It’s foodie heaven, if you ask me, and for a good cause! If you’d like to buy tickets, I have a promo code for you: type the promo code KHSOUL2FOR250 so you can buy 2 tickets for $250 (instead of$300). Tickets are on sale right now at tableofhope.ca and the promo code will only be valid for the first 10 pairs of tickets sold, so act fast!
For those who aren’t familiar with SAISONS, Mayssam (of the blog Will Travel For Food) and I organize seasonal pop-up dinners in unusual Montreal locations that aren’t restaurants. We invite super talented local chefs to cook 6 course dinners for our guests using only local ingredients. Our next dinner celebrates the Spring season and the location is still a secret! The dinner will be held on Monday, May 15th, 2017, and it’s already sold out!
